I’ll never get how anyone can ride a bike with a windshield. Unless it’s some monolith of plastic like you see on the big touring bikes, they always just make the noise and turbulence worse for me.

Its not that bad...mine (the sv) hits just the the bottom of my helmet, and the bmw clears me

I’ve tried, but I always just end up taking them off of my bikes. Clean air >>>>>>>>> Turbulent air

Eerrmmm. Mine are never turbulent. Its always my own bubble.

The hell shitty screens where you using?

I’ve tried a bunch of them, from factory to hyper-adjustable Madstads. I honestly think it’s just down to my body type. I’ve got really short legs and a really long torso, so I tend to stick up higher than a “normal” person would. This ended up being my solution on my Tiger. It looks dumb as hell but it was the quietest I ever got that bike.

Kinja'd!!!

Yes. That is a cutting board on a RAM mount.

I also tried one of the “bubble” screen similar to what you’ve got on the SV when I had my VFR, but that only worked if I went into a full tuck, which isn’t really feasible for any length of highway riding.

I just took the “redirect, don’t obstruct” methodology of the Madstad and gave up on trying to get the air -over- my head, and instead decided the best course was to redirect the turbulent air coming off the gauge cluster.

oh, i dont go for full hide behind the screen. that would SUCK to tuck un that SV screen for a few hours. but it wasn turbulet for me...oh well.
